Using the relationship between Lord Dunsany and his illustrator Sidney Sime as inspiration, I created a series of illustrations and invited authors to write short stories in response, a reversal of the traditional illustrator/writer arrangement.
In 2007 and 2008, I was in Fukushima, Japan teaching English. Japanese culture has been a big interest since I began studying the language in high school. These are some recent works that relate to my interest in Japanese folklore and traditional visual culture.

This is a short comic completed in 2015. Byakkotai is about the a group of teenage soldiers called the White Tiger Brigade that fought in a war at the end of the last Japanese shogunate.
